 The Location:
Just 30 miles from Cancun, the island of Cozumel, with soft white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, archeological zones and ecotourism parks, is a magnificent destination.
World renowned for its reefs, diving is one of the most popular activities in Cozumel. Crystal-clear waters captivate divers, who come here for the wealth of coral reefs surrounding the island. Cenotes (sinkholes resulting from the collapse of limestone that exposes groundwater) can also be explored by swimming, snorkeling, or diving.
Only a short ferry ride away is the Riviera Maya. a 112 mile stretch of paradise along the coastline of the Yucatan Peninsula. The area offers ecological tours, watersports, and fishing. Though staying in Cozumel, being able to easily access Cancun and the Riviera Maya is like having 2 vacations in one!
While there are enough activities at your hotel to fill several vacations, if you want to venture out on your own, you are a convenient distance from Isla Mujeres and Cancun—and extending south to the Mayan ruins at Tulum, Chichén Itzá, and Cobá. These are all within day-trip distance. |
