Instead of hitting the mall in search of the perfect college graduation gift for my significant other, I decided to give the gift of travel. After 4 years of grueling class schedules, long nights of studying, and exams, it was clear that Nick was in need of a little sun, fun, and total relaxation. The choice was clear; a 5-night getaway to the Aventura-Spa Palace in the Riviera Maya, Mexico! The Aventura-Spa Place is an all-inclusive, adults only, full service spa resort with a wide variety of services and amenities. The resort is divided into 2 sections-the Aventura side and the Spa side. Although both sides offer similar services and amenities, they each provide a different sort of atmosphere. Some of the common amenities include large free-formed pools, beach and lagoon area with snorkeling, kayaks, and paddleboats, variety of dining options and lounges.
The Spa side is more laid-back, offering services such as low-cal dining options, facilities and programs in heath, fitness, hydrotherapy, beauty, stress management and much more. Guests have the choice of receiving spa treatments in one of the overwater bungalows or the lush tropical gardens. They even offer services ranging from high/low impact aerobic dance to weight lifting and salsa/merengue dance lessons; the Spa Palace truly rejuvenates all your senses.
The Aventura-Spa Palace offers a wide variety of dining options. Whether we were in the mood for breakfast poolside, a romantic candlelight dinner, or room service at 3am, we had it all! The food was delicious and the service was exceptional! With so many different and truly unique dining options, we had no problem finding something off the menu or the buffet that each of us enjoyed. The Aventura-Spa Palace was the perfect way to congratulate Nick on this great achievement! The resort was absolutely beautiful, the weather was wonderful and we were in celebrating in Paradise! The
Aventura side offers an upbeat resort atmosphere with daily poolside
activities such as aerobics, water basketball, water volleyball, and
trivia games. We had a great time competing against each other in ping-pong,
pool, darts, the obstacle course, and all the other activities readily
available on the Aventura side. Also located on the Aventura side is
the rock-climbing wall, where Nick raced his way to the top! Although
the pool area is very large and chairs were easily available, we often
chose to enjoy the beach and salt-water lagoon. With kayaks, paddleboats,
snorkeling equipment and plenty of room to swim and relax, this was
definitely one of our favorite areas! 
A
room at the Aventura-Spa Palace is sure to lift your spirits! From the
view of the Caribbean to your private double Jacuzzi, your room is fit
for a King! Due to the widespread layout of the resort, most rooms at
the Palace offer a view of the ocean. Other room amenities include:
